10.13.407    TRAFFIC EDUCATION CONTENT STANDARD 6 AND BENCHMARKS - RISK MANAGEMENT

(1) To satisfy the requirements of traffic education content standard 6, a student must demonstrate and safely apply driver risk-managing (defensive driving) strategies, behaviors, and habits, including measures to maintain distraction-free driving.

(2) The benchmarks for traffic education content standard 6 for a student upon completion are the ability to:

(a) understand driver risk-management principles;

(b) demonstrate driver risk-management strategies; and

(c) demonstrate positive habits and attitudes for effective driver risk-management.
