36.21.404    COMPLETION OF CONTRACTS BY SUCCESSOR IN INTEREST OF LICENSED CONTRACTOR

(1) Section 37-43-402 , MCA, which allows for the transfer of an existing drilling contract to a successor in interest, who need not be licensed if under the supervision of a licensed contractor, shall be construed to allow the successor only to complete contracts existing at the time of transfer. At such time as the successor transferee in interest shall enter into new contracts, he shall secure proper licensure before commencing drilling operations.
